Nya projekt i Töreboda kommun / New projects in Töreboda
I have started up a new Art toilet project in a town a couple of hours drive outside of Göteborg. There they wanted the kids to get involved in a project that had some sort of international aspect and since I am from New Zealand I decided to work with art from the Maori culture. We started by studying the kowhaiwhai patterns and the basic form that they all are based upon. The form is called the KORU and it is derived from the unfurling fern frond and is a symbol of new growth.
We were all fascinated over how everyone painted different kinds of koru and that there weren´t two sketches that were the same.
